About Dennis the Handyman

This business was started roughly 14 years ago.  I started out by working part time for a couple of local handymen. I got my general contractor's license by studying online and taking Construction Technology classes at El Camino College. It has been challenging for sure, but also satisfying. 

I never thought I would be in the construction business.  I earned an A.S. degree from El Camino College in Data Processing in 1988. I continued and received my B.S. degree from Cal State University, Dominguez Hills in 1992. With jobs in Information systems being twindled due to outsourcing and layoffs I found making a so-called hobby into an occupation. I learned everything I could from books, school, and online education for the construction field. It paid off and I obtained my contractor's license. I cover the South Bay and will travel as far as the San Fernando Valley and northern Orange County.
